AMD introduces 4 cards of the Radeon RX 500 family

Waiting for the debut of the top Vega top-of-the-range video cards AMD reviews its offer in the mid-range segment with the Radeon RX 500 cards.

After announcing last week, the 4 versions of Ryzen 5 processors, based on 6-core and 4-core architecture, AMD has been now available   with its partners the first boards of the Radeon RX 500 family. These are architecture-based models Polaris, which resumes the technical features behind the Radeon RX 400 solutions, delivering performance gains with slightly increased clock frequencies.

There are 4 cards that AMD officially presents today. Radeon RX 580, Radeon RX 570 and Radeon RX 560 are to be compared with the corresponding Radeon RX 400 family cards, while the Radeon RX 550 is the newcomer to the entry level segment of the market for combining entry level band systems A performance level lower than that of the Radeon RX 460 solutions so as to offer Polaris architecture cards in all market segments.

In the table, we compared the technical specifications at the base of these new cards with those of the Radeon RX 400 models that are on the market.

Newcomers have higher clcok frequencies for the GPU, both as a base clock and as a boost clock, compared to the corresponding RX400 family models; Slight variations are also recorded in the video memory clock frequency, especially for the Radeon RX 580 card which now has 8 Gbps modules regardless of the onboard memory and the Radeon RX 570 that goes from 6.6 Gbps Of the Radeon RX 470 card to the current 7 Gbps. All this leads to a slight increase in overall speed performance, albeit quite low in content.
