LG G6+: Renewed version with 128GB storage, updated software and new colors

LG decides to upgrade its top range by introducing a revised version of the G6+. It’s called G6 and now has new colors, new features within the operating system, and a 128GB internal storage. Here’s all the details.

LG G6+ is the new version of the South Korean company’s top range. A smartphone that does not differ from the current smartphone presented at the MWC 2017, is at the design level, but looks new in terms of some of its technical specifications.

Not only because the company also introduces new colors, focusing on a personalization that is ever effective for all users, and above all updates the software interface with the new graphical interface.

The new LG G6+ keeps the design of the current version (non Plus) unchanged, allowing users to use a 5.7-inch QHD display with maximum framing and embedded in an aluminum body and waterproof glass.

Inside, the Snapdragon 821 is not updated with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 already on other devices. RAM is also kept at 4GB while internal storage increases up to 128GB, allowing users to have more storage opportunities.

Differences also come to the audio side as the company puts B&O Play’s earbuds to make the most of the existing Quad DAC component in the first version of the smartphone. Changes also come in the colors with the new Optical Marine Blue and the Optical Terra Gold that add to those that are already odiernally existing.

The novelties do not end here since LG has decided to add some new software at LG G6+ that the company will also bring on the ” old ” G6. In this case, we talk to about three new features such as ” Face Print “, ie the ability to unlock the device with facial recognition activated only when the phone is picked up and framed by a face.

Also comes Low Power Consumption, which is an intrinsic feature of Qualcomm CPU capable of utilizing the Contextual Hub Runtime Environment (CHRE) of Google, allowing data collection to enhance the user’s experience, using as little as possible battery.

Finally, the ” Covered Lens Warning ” will also be displayed, which will warn the user if, during a shot, he or she inadvertently placed a finger or part of it in the frame.

At the moment, unfortunately, the new LG G6+ was officially presented to the Asian market even though sales prices were not available.
