Oppo N3: the camera-phone camera with motorized rotating

Oppo tries again with its rotating camera, a particular mechanism which allows the use of only one high-quality camera module as both rear and front. On the new Oppo N3, the system is fully motorized. At a time when the word Selfie has become willy-nilly in common use, the smartphone manufacturers are taking advantage of the trend by offering devices that focus on particular features.

In practice, one tries to cram two cameras in a single device of excellent quality, both on the rear side than on the front.

The approaches that we have seen so far are very different between the front camera supported by LED flash, dedicated, extremely bright targets or sensors definitely defined. What undoubtedly more particular and effective from the viewpoint of practical and economical is to Oppo.

With Oppo N1, the Chinese manufacturer introduced an extension for rotating the only built-in camera on your smartphone, so use it at your own discretion either to capture a landscape, that to take a self-timer.

Oppo is the successor of N1, N3, and takes the concept of the camera rotating to a new level. The module 16 megapixel is integrated in a part of the body that is able to rotate independently based on the needs of the user thanks to a motorized support.

On the one hand, we will find the camera, the other, the capsule for the audio phone and the series of sensors for ambient brightness. Oppo N3 is not surprising from the point of view of the technical specifications: The display is an IPS LCD 5.5 ” Full HD, whose pixels are driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 801 to 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM.

On the back of the device there is a sensor to scan the fingerprint biometrics, just at the point where the predecessor incorporated a small secondary trackpad to perform some specific tasks. Everything is moved by a generous battery 3,000 mAh, while the only version will be available with 32GB of integrated storage, a proposal natively with proprietary color customization based on Android 4.4 OS 2.0 KitKat.

Oppo N3 will be available worldwide in the month of December at a suggested retail price of $649 off contract.
