Windows 10: The new tablet version small

Microsoft had announced in January that the smaller tablet would receive a version of Windows 10 other than the one available today for insiders. Here are the first images of this release.

The new version of Windows 10 for small tablet, leaked pages WinBeta, is much like the version for smartphones. And also its base is much more similar to the mobile operating system as it has the desktop and is able to perform only applications for Windows Phone or so-called universal.

These are designed to automatically adapt to the display in which are played, then effectively exploit the extra space offered by larger displays: universal applications are played ” as if they were apps for desktop systems, and not for smartphones, ” says the source. The first impressions seem positive. There are some teething issues and not quite finished.

Microsoft has implemented a menu accessible through an icon in three points, which provides access to a number of options related to the app open in the foreground. WinBeta defines it as a Charms Bar redefined, but ” more useful and linked to the application in use. ” With a much less invasive, the menu allows you to perform certain actions in the app and access the settings of the same.

The Start menu is not yet completed, then what we see in the screenshots is not representative of the final product. The user can connect keyboards and Bluetooth’s mouse to the small display, thus ensuring user experience even more similar to a desktop system itself. Option only relatively useful, since we remember that this version of Windows 10 does not support the traditional win32 app.

It is likely that Microsoft will release more details on this new version of Windows within the BUILD conference for developers, whose debut is scheduled for 29 April. In the meantime, we invite you to take a look at all the screenshots published by WinBeta, on this page.
