Asus ROG Gladius II Core boasts a new design designed to replace the classic rubber solution to make room for a rigid plastic handle. Some structural changes have also made it possible to reduce the overall weight of the mouse by more than 20 g. According to Asus, the new version of ROG Gladius II is much more dynamic.
Despite the low weight, the two most important RGB zones on the ROG Gladius II Core have been maintained: both the wheel and the ROG logo can be synchronized with the other devices compatible with AURA Sync technology.
The biggest change of all is the integration of the Pixart 3327 optical sensor into the ROG Gladius II Core. This reaches a maximum of 6,200 DPI and thanks to a dedicated button under the scroll wheel, allows you to quickly change the sensitivity, choosing from four different settings. To minimize errors, the DPI switch now has a more difficult-to-press flat design.
Some mouse use the same piece of plastic for both buttons, which means folding the plastic at the time of the click, increasing the necessary pressure. The left and right buttons on the ROG Gladius II Core, on the other hand, are separated from each other, guaranteeing more responsive input.
The simple three-step process to replace the Omron switch keys has not changed and allows you to easily customize click feedback. The position of the two side buttons has also been maintained, which are useful for various key functions such as reloading, exchanging weapons or activating skills.
