Important news coming for Google Maps in the coming weeks will allow all users, even those less fortunate as disabled people who are wheelchair users, to take advantage of the maps and especially paths precisely adapted to wheelchairs. An eye on the part of the company of Mountain View for people who cannot move like anyone and that may have many difficulties in reaching a particular destination.
Starting today, within the applications for iOS and Android but also on the desktop, it will be possible to choose different public paths without any architectural barrier and also passable by those who are aboard a wheelchair. In this case, Google has decided to add a specific filter that starting from today can be applied to public transport lines allowing to obtain a result that is suitable to accommodate the disabled.
At the moment, the new feature has been released for versions of Google Maps in the cities of London, New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Boston and Sydney. We already know that the Mountain View company is working to expand these first cities with further expanding the network of routes and destinations capable of supporting the problems of people with disabilities.
