Homido mini: a VR viewer that you can put in your pocket

Homido mini

Homido mini is a virtual reality viewer designed to be an alternative to Google Cardboard.

Homido mini is a small plastic device that allows you to enjoy a rudimentary virtual reality experience. The glasses can be folded, so you can easily put in your pocket. Homido is a French company that also markets a high end VR viewer.

Returning to the mini, it is a prototype developed by the startup Eccodis which of course requires matching with a smartphone to function. ” Mini is portable, durable and affordable, and this makes the VR more affordable for both consumers and businesses, ” it said in a statement Homido.

The glasses come with a hook that allows you to attach them to the smartphone: by then the user simply has to look at the lenses to enjoy video and virtual reality images. Of course, the outer casing absence makes the experience less immersive than that offered by high end viewers or from the Google Cardboard, but obviously you gain in terms of portability and price.
