HyperX Fury RGB SSD

Kingston adds a new-product family called HyperX Fury RGB to the section of its catalog dedicated to SSD.

These units come with a 2.5″ form factor and a completely black look enriched by RGB LED lighting integrated into the unit’s upper shock: in addition to the usual SATA 6 Gbps and SATA Power connectors, each SSD is equipped with also a micro USB connector that allows, not only to use it directly as a portable unit, but also to connect it to an RGB controller or directly to a USB connector on the motherboard, for the management of various lighting effects.

The models of this Fury RGB series are based on Marvell 88SS1074 controllers combined with NAND TLC 3D flash memory, with performances up to 550 MB/s in reading and 480 MB/s in writing; they are proposed in sizes 240, 480 and 960 GB with TBW (Total Bytes Written) values ​​of 120, 240 and 480 TB respectively.

The HyperX Fury RGB units will soon be available on the market, offered in two bundles namely, the single 2.5″ SSD or a richer package, which in addition to the storage unit, includes a 2.5″ adapter to 3.5″, a case for easily transforming the SSD into a portable device, its USB cables and a multi-purpose screwdriver.
