Netgear announced Arlo Pro 2, the second generation of surveillance camera that has the peculiarity of operating wirelessly and recording video continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Like the first Arlo Pro family, this camcorder operates completely wireless, hosting a 2,440 mAh capacity battery inside it, which ensures uninterrupted operation over a long period of time.
Shooting is done in Full HD resolution, using the lens with a viewing angle of 130 degrees capable of night vision. There is no lack, as always happens in products of this type, motion detection feature to be combined with any alarms and in this way configure different levels of signaling depending on the type of event. It is precisely the increase in resolution, from the previous HD to the current Full HD, to represent the main innovation of Arlo Pro 2 compared to Arlo Pro cameras.
The Arlo base plan, included with the purchase of the system, allows you to manage up to 5 cameras and offers 7 free days of use of the cloud for filing the footage. Netgear offers different types of plans, with a cost of service, which allow to manage the filming of more than 5 cameras simultaneously installed as well as to store videos in the cloud in non-stop mode.
Arlo Pro 2, Arlo Pro and Arlo wireless cameras are interchangeable: you can add the new Arlo Pro 2 to an Arlo Pro system or the Arlo wireless base station, or you can choose to use Arlo wireless cameras that already exist together to the new Arlo Pro Base Station. Prices start at about $467 for the kit with 2 cameras up to $549 for the Arlo Pro 2 kit 4 cameras.
