Here in all the splendor of its 45.7MP FX sensor, the Nikon D850. As mentioned above, the first major innovation is the sensor: a CMOS BSI (manufactured by Sony) without a low-pass filter.
This offers a very high resolution while not giving way to the classic ” slowness ” that usually comes out of it, the burst reaches 7 frames per second (and comes to 9 with the optional battery grip MB-D18). The sensitivity range starts at ISO 32 and reaches ISO 102,400 at the highest roof.
The Nikon D850 also has great video capabilities, it offers 4K 30p (without crops) and FullHD video up to 120fps, plus Focus Peaking (FullHD only), Zebra pattern, as well as uncompressed 4:2 output 4K via HDMI port. There is also no microphone input and headphone output for monitoring.
The Nikon D850 offers the ability to shoot in Live View silent mode with the electronic shutter (6fps burst with AF/AE locked). The dual memory slot lets you insert both the fast XQD cards and the normal SD.
