Pentax K3 – New Home Sports Digital Camera

Pentax K3

Ricoh today unveiled its new flagship, the Pentax K-3. The camera has features on the top from the 24MP sensor, the autofocus system to 27 points, the high fps (well 8.3) And the exposure system that is based on a new 86,000 pixel RGB sensor.

The real news concerns a new function of anti-aliasing that allows you to minimize the moire effect without the use of optical filter’s bywords AA. This option provides greater flexibility since there is the possibility to enable or disable this system according to situations.

The system applies the micro-vibrations (controlled) in the lower substrate to the pixels during the exposure, generating the same level of reduction of moire that would occur using optical filters. As mentioned before the plus lies in its versatility of use that does not stop the activation / deactivation, but you get right down to the ability to adjust the intensity of reduction.

The meter, a RGB sensor, not only collects data to provide a correct exposure but also makes these data available to the autofocus system in order to further improve the accuracy. Thanks to this combination of a sensor algorithm renovated, the Pentax K-3 is able to focus down to-3EV. The general characteristics are as follows:

Pentax K-3 lens kit w/ 18-135mm WR 24MP SLR Camera with 3.2-Inch TFT LCD and 18-135mm WR f 3.5-5.6 (Black)
  • 23.35MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
