New SSD solutions from PNY, which realizes the series CS1311 for the consumer sector and the CS2211 thinking instead gamers and power users. Let’s see what it is and especially what changes between the two.
PNY, US known company active in the memory industry, USB drives and solid-state drives, has recently introduced two new SSD families, with a different intended use. PNY CS1311 is a series designed for the consumer audience, while the PNY CS2211 looks for a more select clientele as gamers and technology enthusiasts who are looking for something more on the performance front.

Both models are characterized by the factor 2.5-inch classic form with 7 mm thickness, in addition to the SATA 6 Gbps. PNY CS1311, the consumer, hints at the search for a price of advantageous purchase, with rated values that speak of 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write about, exploits type TLC chip and is available in denominations of 120 GB, 240 GB , 480 GB and 960 GB. Prices range from $49.99 of 120 GB up to 960 GB of $299, as declared by the company.
PNY CS2211 is instead the more refined proposal that, while remaining fixed the basic characteristics, has slightly higher writing speed and reading (in the order of 5-10 MB/s in most of the CS1311), as well as the use of MLC instead of TLC. The cuts available are 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB, respectively proposed $ 89.99, $ 159.99 and $ 309.99 (only $ 10 more for the versions of the same capacity than the CS1311).
Another difference is the warranty, which is 3 years for the PNY CS1311 series and 4 years for the PNY CS2211.
