Panasonic DMC-GM5

The Photokina 2014 and these days all the major companies are announcing new stuff that will present at the fair. Panasonic has unveiled two new models, the first of which is the Panasonic DMC-GM5. This is an evolution of GM1 and remains as a very compact Micro Four Thirds, although slightly higher than the previous year. The new size is due to the presence of a built-in electronic viewfinder.

In the space that has been achieved over the screen are also included new controls and a ring for the parameters, eliminating it from the directional pad which now offers more convenient shortcuts.

Regarding the sensitivity, we have a range of 200-25,600 ISO, expandable downward to obtain the 100 ISO 23 points of focus and the maximum shutter speed of 1/16000, while the burst is 5fps. The display is fixed and is 3″ with 921,000 points, of course touch screen, while the electronic viewfinder has a magnification of 0,92x and a resolution of more than 1 million points. Offers-free Wi-Fi and built-in video recording format FullHD 60/ 50fps, complete with a Focus Peaking for assistance to focus.

The Panasonic DMC-GM5 is made of magnesium alloy and is available in red or black and features a 3-inch touch screen and Wi-Fi connectivity. Included is an extra flash, the model GN7 available in black or silver.
