The RED high-end camcorder manufacturer has just announced the launch of its new smartphone industry, specifically the premium device, the device being called the Hydrogen One, and promising a holographic screen among its features.
The Buzzword Hydrogen One press release is presented with a 5.7″ nanotechnology-based display that offers ” continuous and linear experience between traditional 2D content and holographic multi-view content dedicated to the 3D world and games interactive.”
Based on the Android operating system, RED lists a number of other features ever seen on a mobile device:
- A proprietary H3O algorithm that can convert stereo audio and play it with a multi-dimensional system, a bit like in headphones 5.1.
- New high-speed data bus to connect multiple expansion modules, we hypothesize as it does for the LG G5.
- RED channel a platform to create and share .h4v file, 4-view holographic content or just video games, apps, and documents: a kind of proprietary store.
The company says the phone will be available early in 2018, and it is currently available in pre-order directly on the RED site: for the base version of aluminum, we speak of a $1,195 launch price while for the titanium variant (true, not just in color) you have to pay $1,595.
RED certainly plays a great deal on innovation, although what is said is still to be clarified for good, the company specifies that the technical equipment and design from here on delivery may be subject to change; also clarifies to those interested that ” After this initial release, we will not be able to fulfill all orders in a short time due to natural production limits. ”
