Samsung Galaxy Watch: Here is the new smartwatch with LTE module

Samsung Galaxy Watch

Inaugurating a new-product family, with a more distinctive brand than ever before, Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy Watch today. This is a new generic wearable, and not specific to the sport, which wants to bring to the market different features sought by users: long operating autonomy, LTE connectivity, functionality for fitness and wellness in general, and a design that is the as captivating and timeless as possible.

The smartwatch also has new features for monitoring sleep and stress, and will be offered with three different quadrants in Silver, Midnight Black and Rose Gold, all with customizable straps of different colors.

Samsung Galaxy Watch will offer the user an estimated operating autonomy of up to 80 hours, with the technicians of the Koreans, who are committed to eliminate the need for daily recharge. According to the company tests, the 80 hours can be reached with the 46mm model and a ” typical ” use, while in stand-by, you can touch the 170 hours with the highest model in the range.

The 42mm variant can take up to 45 hours of typical use and 120 hours and over with a moderate use. Battery life may depend on various variables, such as the power of the network signal, as well as the simple use of the terminal.

An interesting feature of the Galaxy Watch is the optional presence of an LTE module that allows you to use all the features present without imposing the combination with a smartphone. With the LTE variant you can then call, exchange messages, use navigation apps or listen to music, and much more, even if you do not pair with an external device via Bluetooth.

There will obviously be reminders, information on weather and activity planning. Galaxy Watch is not a sportwatch, but it is designed for wellness lovers and for those who want to maximize their sports activities.

It is not a professional product but offers different functions, such as the stress-management tracker that automatically detects high levels of fatigue and dynamically offers to breathe exercises to deal with them, so that the user can keep the attention thresholds high and concentration.

Advanced sleep monitoring, on the other hand, allows analyzing the REM cycles and at the same time improving the user’s habits in terms of sleep and wakefulness. 21 new indoor fitness exercises are implemented in the watch, for a total of 39 exercises that give the possibility to customize the training according to personal needs.

Do not miss the personalized alerts to improve your health and the analysis of the calories burned, with automatic synchronization on the Samsung Health service. As already noted, the device will come in two variants: one from 46 mm, only in the Silver version, and the other from 42 mm, in black or rose gold.

The watch can be customized not only with digital dials, but also with a collection of straps that will probably be expanded in the future. The 1.2″ or 1.3″ circular SuperAMOLED display supports the Always-On mode, and digital hands will dynamically project shadows to look real to the user’s eye.

To complete it all we have a particularly resistant Gorilla Glass DX+ glass, and the 5 ATM, IP-68 and MIL-STD-810G certifications for resistance to liquids, bumps and dusts
