Crucial has announced a new range of SSD destined for the entry level range: the new Crucial BX500 SSD stand as the cheapest in the manufacturer’s offer, with prices starting at just $30.
The new Crucial BX500 use NAND 3D chips produced by Micron and are available in 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB formats. All use only the SATA connector and the SATA III standard (6 Gbps), a factor that has helped in containing prices compared to NVMe alternatives. The performance still looks good: Crucial declares values of 540 MB/s in reading and 500 MB/s in writing with sequential workloads.
