TP-Link has just announced two new low-end smartphones: the entry-level TP-Link Neffos C5A, and Neffos Y5s. Both smartphones will be available for purchase.
TP-Link Neffos C5A
Neffos C5A uses the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and adopts a 5″ Tn display at a resolution of 854×480 pixels with a pixel density of 196 PPI. Below the body (9.64mm thick) we find a MediaTek MT6580M processor from four cores to 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of integrated storage expandable via micro SD of maximum 32 GB. These are typical specifications of the low end, in our opinion a bit ‘anachronistic also in relation to the market band. Rear is 5 MP with an auto-focus, while the front 2 MP.
TP-Link Neffos Y5s
TP-Link Neffos Y5s is also equipped with a 5-inch display, in this case, we find a panel of superior quality with support for HD resolution (1,280×720 pixels) and the use of IPS technology. The body is thinner (8.6 mm), and hides a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor with four cores and 2 GB of RAM. The integrated storage is 16 GB and can be expanded with a micro SD of up to 32 GB, while the cameras are in this case 8 MP with auto-focus and 2 MP, respectively for the rear and the front.
