OneDrive.com: Microsoft simplifies the sharing options

Microsoft refines the sharing options of content stored OneDrive.com. Two main options – ” Get links ” and ” Mailbox ” – to make the tools for sharing content more immediate and intuitive.

Microsoft has always been committed to the refinement of its products and services accessible not only through the classical applications installed on PCs and mobile devices, but also via the web. Previously, the ” Share ” options contained ” Invite people ” and ” Get Link. ” The ” Get Link ” – according to the analysis of user habits conducted by Microsoft – it was the most used, but was not the default choice, and also could not be defined exactly intuitive because it contained several options to customize the connection and restrict access to content.

To reduce the risk of confusion and immediately put at the disposal only the most-used options Microsoft has changed the menu as described.

Enabling large-scale change was preceded by a test phase which was attended by around 28,000 users.
