Acer announces the new monitor series R1, H7 and XR

The company has announced a number of monitors in three families with different characteristics, starting with Full HD and just over $100 up to high-resolution panoramic solutions.

During the day on Monday at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Acer has announced some changes to its range of monitors within the series R1, H7 and XR. All families cited to adopt IPS LCD panels, the most appropriate technology to achieve accurate color reproduction and good viewing angles, and measures both in terms of aesthetics and functionality to embrace the needs of different types of users.

Series monitors Acer R1 are, according to the manufacturer, the thinnest in the world due to the thickness of less than 7 mm. They are designed to fit into any space not only by virtue of the reduced thickness, but also thanks to the design ZeroFrame, which reduces to a minimum the size of the frames by maximizing the viewable. Thanks to the feature, the monitor Acer Series R1 lend themselves particularly to be possible multi-monitor configurations.

The family of monitors consists of 5 variants with different sizes for the panel, all IPS LCD Full HD (1080p), with the following dimensions: 21.5″, 23″, 23.8″, 25″ and 27″.

Going into range Acer offers the family of monitors H7, according to the company the first in the world to support the technology USB Type-C. The panels will offer the ability to transfer data or display content from a laptop or a smartphone and reload at the same time.

Also in this case there is a remarkable attention to design and details, with the same technology ZeroFrame adopted on the series R1 to reduce frames and maximize the visible area. Acer H7 Monitors will support the maximum resolution WQHD (2,560×1,440) and coverage of the sRGB gamut to 100%.

The panels of the Acer H7 family variants will be available in 25″ and 27″ in February.

Finally, Acer unveiled a new panel of the series XR, specifically Acer XR342CK compatible with the maximum resolution qHD UltraWide, equal to 3,440×1,440 pixels. The integrated panel has a diagonal of 34″ in 21:9 format and a curvature of 1900R.

Also in this case Acer ensures 100% coverage of the sRGB gamut, configurable through the color adjustment to 6 axes. The panel lends itself to multi-monitor configurations, supports AMD FreeSync and various functions of PIP and PBP.
