Amazon removes support for data encryption on its Fire tablet

In sharp contrast with those who are the dictates of the moment Amazon has decided to remove from its Fire tablet options that allowed to withhold the personal data.

You will now all aware of the case involving the FBI and Apple, guilty of not allowing the unlocking of an iPhone involved in the events of San Bernardino. Since the request by the FBI and later the response from Apple, much has been said about the safety of the mobile devices, and the secrecy of the data contained within them.

The Cupertino company had started to encrypt all the data of its iPhone from version 8 of its mobile operating system iOS, followed by Google, after a not very successful attempt with Lollipop, he has definitely put a hand out and a padlock with the latest version of its Android, or marshmallows.

In short, the trend is clear, but perhaps not for everyone. The well-known Amazon, one of the most famous in the world, e-commerce produces its own line of tablet with Fire OS operating system. The latter is a derivative of Google’s Android operating system, which uses the open source code with a no native Google App magazine graphics, and not guaranteed to support applications developed specifically for Android.

In older versions of this its own operating system, Amazon had enabled data encryption, just like on Android devices. Nonostate that, following the latest update, which brings the Amazon Fire tablet to Version 5 of Fire OS,  Amazon has decided to completely eliminate support for encryption of data on their tablet and vacate so the users to operate as they see fit in this regard.

A decision definitely singular, for which the social vertices appear to have justified saying that of the encryption of the data was a function unused by users.

Again according to the company, the communication between the Fire tablet and Amazon’s cloud servers instead would continue to respond to the security standards and privacy that have always been used.
