These services are often seen as an opportunity to retain users to the web application and or similar functionality, offering users a wide choice of integrated options is reasonable to assume that these people can get used to specific services by continuing to use them in time.

For example, in the case of OneDrive that allows the creation and editing of files in Office formats using the free web application; the same approach is also offered by Google but just few hours ago announced an interesting new feature in contrast with what has just been described.

The mode of access to this new option is very simple just install the extension and open the Chrome browser with Google Drive: Selecting a file and clicking with the right mouse button will show the option to Open With, and then select through which the application required.

The extension is already available on the store component of Chrome, and is required as a prerequisite to use the latest version of Google Drive on your PC and can be retrieved by accessing the browser to Google Drive and then select the Download option in the Settings menu.
