Facebook eliminates the number of Likes, but for now only in tests

As already done with some Instagram users, Facebook is also starting a test period to eliminate the ” Like ” count.

For some time now, a revolution has been taking place on Instagram that leads to hiding the number of ” Likes ” that the post receives, thus eliminating the main public data that was used to measure the popularity of a post. Zuckerberg has started this change for his second social network with the aim of changing the way it is used.

According to recent leaks, Facebook is also ready for this change; an internal modification to the code of the Android application of the blue social network that led to the disappearance of the number of Likes received by the post was noted. Instead of the number of Likes, as happens on Instagram, some names of users who have enjoyed the post and then clicked the ” Like ” button will be displayed.

The change that Mark Zuckerberg is trying to make is a radical change of philosophy within the social media, removing the count of ” Like ” means that it will not be possible to immediately evaluate the popularity of the post and the same or the same will be eliminated emotion that number brings.

Facebook has told TechCrunch that it would hide the ” Like ” count following a test, but that the change has not yet entered into force. The company has not declared any further information and is still not sure what the platform will reserve for its users.
