Fitbit Versa 2: Here’s how it could be

The new Fitbit Versa 2 could only lead to partial changes and some improvements. These could be the first images of Fitbit’s smartwatch about a year after the presentation of the first model.

Versa was the re-launch smartwatch for the US company Fitbit: now it seems that it’s almost time to see the new Fitbit Versa 2. After Ionic, which was not welcomed by the public, the manufacturer has changed strategy and is managed to do something good.

Fitbit Versa 2 is still shrouded in mystery for many of its features, but Techno Buffalo has released the first images of this new smartwatch, showing few changes compared to the previous model.

It seems that society, at least from the point of view of design, has taken a lot from the first Versa. We find a square-shaped screen, a flat glass and a top-quality aluminum case.

At the heart of Fitbit Versa 2, there will always be Fitbit OS, which could be updated once again with the introduction of the new model. It is not clear when the presentation will take place, but it could be set for March 2019, about a year after the first Versa.

The new model could improve water resistance reaching up to 5 atm / 50 meters depth as well as the exercise detection algorithms that could be updated (thanks to a 6-axis accelerometer).

For Fitbit Versa 2, there will be new bright colors like pink, cyan and purple as well as a more classic silver color. It does not seem to be integrated GPS as this would change consumption and the need for a larger battery (and consequent general increase in size).

Obviously, there are still many pieces to get a complete picture of how Fitbit Versa 2 will be, but at present it seems more like an upgrade than a real ” new model “.
