Google Pixelbook Go: Here is the ultra-cheap laptop

On the occasion of the Made by Google 2019 event held in New York City, the Grande G removed the veils from a new laptop with the Chrome OS operating system and the goal of expanding the Pixelbook family towards a catchment area more extensive. It’s called Google Pixelbook Go, weighing about one kilogram and is only 13mm thick, while implementing all the features typical of the Google laptop family.

The starting price is probably the most interesting feature of the new laptop: $649 in the US market. Unfortunately, the arrival on our market is not currently expected: Google has announced the new Pixelbook Go for the US and Canadian markets, where they are already available for pre-order, and will arrive in the UK in January.

The handset has ” silent and backlit ” keys, and has a 13.3-inch panel with touch support. It will be sold in two different colors, Just Black and Not Pink, with the shell that is made of magnesium with a matte finish so as to obtain strength, ergonomics and lightness. The integrated battery on Pixelbook Go delivers to its users up to 12 hours of battery life, and with 20 minutes of charge, you can get up to 2 hours of battery life.

Under the body Pixelbook Go can boast Intel Core processors of the eighth generation of the Core m3, Core i5 and Core i7 families, 8 or 16 GB of RAM, and 64 to 256 GB of SSD storage space. The display is 13.3″ in all variants sold, but the integrated panels can be two: one with Full HD resolution (1,920×1,080 pixels), the other with 4K Ultra HD resolution (3,840×2,160 pixels). We then support Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

The new laptop also has a 2MP camera capable of recording in Full HD at 60 frames per second, and is equipped with a 3.5mm jack for connecting headphones. Among the heavy, absences are the SD or microSD slot and the fingerprint slot. The new laptop Made by Google does not implement either one or the other feature, forced choices due to the low starting cost of Pixelbook Go.
