GoPro presents the new Action Cam Hero4 Session
GoPro announced the latest addition to its family of cameras targeted at sports; Hero4 Session focuses on very small so they can be installed in virtually any environment.
New ad from GoPro, company well known for its family of small cameras used primarily for shooting sports. The new family is called Hero4 Session and is a model that abandons the traditional dimensions of the range Hero4 for a form factor even smaller.
The company claims a reduction in size by 40%, with a reduction in weight of 35%, compared to other cameras in the family GoPro Hero4; This was achieved by renouncing to the body of water protection as Hero4 Session is water-resistant to 10 meters deep.
From this first important difference from other proposals range: Hero4 Session cannot be used for traditional diving activities (other GoPro reach -40 meters with waterproof case) but has no problems with rain and other activities in water without requiring additional protection.
Despite the change of the external dimensions Hero4 Session does not give the full compatibility with the coupling system that GoPro has developed for other models in the Hero. They can therefore be used all the accessories developed for this range, much like the original ones GoPro compatible third-party.
For model Hero4 Session, GoPro has also developed a coupling of type Ball Joint Buckle. Thanks to some frames allows the camera to take any position on various vertical and horizontal axes subject to the attachment point.
The design is much more compact than other GoPro and closely resembles the Polaroid Cube, economic model, but does not shine for functionality and quality. The Hero4 Session is compatible with all GoPro accessories and is therefore able to meet even professional requirements.
It does not have the 4K as the Black, but records video up to 1440p at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps or 720p at 100fps, while the photos are to 8MP.
The structure is very strong and is water resistant to 10 meters natively, eliminating the need for a protective case. There is no lack advanced features such as Time-Lapse and gusts to 10 frames per second.
The new video mode SuperView increases the field of view of 25% in height than the traditional 16: 9 and dual microphones, front and rear, to capture more and better sound, choosing the cleanest source depending on the shooting conditions. In terms of the connections, we have the traditional microUSB for charging and microSD for memory, while there are the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth remote control with remote control or smartphone.
The very small size of GoPro Hero4 Session gave way only to a small screen that provides information about the status of your camcorder. We report the presence of the functionality Protune, thanks to which obtain in post-production a higher quality of video in terms of their spectrum of colors registered.
Do not miss the Auto Image Rotation, thanks to which the image is automatically rotated by the camera even if this is mounted upside down.
