How to Unblock TCP/UDP Ports

TCP and UDP are the main transport protocols used by applications to communicate on the Internet. The difference between the two lies in the fact that TCP is a connection-oriented service and takes care of handling errors and communication problems. UDP is a connectionless service. It is not certain that the data sent is delivered to the recipient. Modern routers implement a small module called NAT, which translates our devices’ outbound and inbound connections.

The parameters and values

The update

Next to the Update router button, located at the bottom right, click on the + button. This will allow you to define a program for which doors must be opened. From the new window, go to Add Staff and configure the parameters by entering the software’s name to be unlocked and the type of door.

On both fields, the value of the port in question will be visible. To confirm, click on Add. In the initial screen table, the program and the selected port will now be present. Now all that remains is to apply the changes and update the router. Once the software has entered the values and the new parameters inside the new locked door, we can update the router to see that same door unlocked again.
