HP announces the HP OfficeJet Pro series: new design, many more features.

HP has announced the new OfficeJet Pro series, with the first models coming on the market later this month. It starts from $169 for the entry-level, up to $399 for the Premier with aluminum finishes.

HP recently announced the new series of OfficeJet Pro printers consisting of five different multifunction devices that evolve from the previous models of the American company mainly in three areas: design, performance and experience with a new series of automatically executable tasks. All while maintaining some of the key aspects of the proposal of the American manufacturer in recent years.

The new family consists of the following models: HP OfficeJet Pro Premier, OfficeJet Pro 9025, 9015, 8035 and the new entry-level OfficeJet Pro 8025. In terms of design, we have several distinctive elements for the new family, such as the base with color in contrast to the other aesthetic elements and an integrated display to facilitate the printing experience.

The 8035 version can be purchased in three colors that will be used in the parts that are typically more subject to wear: Basalt, a modern gray that reflects the most minimalist and elegant styles; Oasis and Coral, that is a more casual blue and red.

HP OfficeJet Pro: the news of the new line-up

Thanks to the new, more linear forms compared to the models of the past, the new printers have a reduced volume in size of up to 39%, all with improved performance. On some models, we have a dup lex, for example: which allows double-sided scans on both sides of the sheet with a single pass, double paper storage capacity up to a maximum of 500 sheets, all without sacrificing the connectivity features typical now in the consumer printing sector. For example: HP Smart App allows you to print via the cloud, even via cellular network, or via Wi-Fi, all directly from your smartphone.

The app also allows you to perform high-quality scans directly using your smartphone’s camera, thus skipping numerous steps and offering a potentially very high image quality (obviously depends on the device’s camera).

HP has introduced an interesting new feature in the application, Smart Tasks, which allows you to create custom shortcuts to automate the various steps and save time with different types of operations: according to HP, you can run 81% less operations and save 50% of the time.

An example: you can create a Smart Task for printing and backing up receipts by selecting print settings (for example: example with grayscale, and only on one face), and then sending the document via e-mail or to a service cloud storage for backup.

The app works with many different services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, and even with Intuit Quickbooks. The new printers also support ” self-healing Wi-Fi “, which automatically detects network connection problems and fixes them automatically, all combined with the Instant Ink service for automatic procurement of new cartridges to expiration of those previously used.

The new HP printers also use different security solutions: firmware integrity check, secure boot support, automatic updates, external control panel lock, ability to set admin password, support for Secure Internet Printing Protocol and protocols security for cloud printing, and much more.
