HTC not only smartphone: at MWC 2015 also a fitness band, Grip

Besides One M9 and Lives, HTC showed a bracelet voted to fitness at MWC 2015, the first of the Taiwanese. HTC Grip is the first device for the fitness of HTC. Equipped with GPS sensor, the Taiwanese band is completed with the native implementation of UA Record, wellness and fitness network of Under Armour designed for athletes and sports and sports lovers, allowing them to set their own personal goals and then overcome them.

The fitness band HTC is compatible with Android devices (4.3 and later) that iOS (from 7 onwards) and can be paired with Bluetooth’s accessories to expand its functionality, such as a device for measuring heart rate, then sending all the received data to the data platform Under Armour Connected Fitness.

Grip is designed for any type of sports activity, even the most extreme according to allegations made by the company. It is resistant to intrusion of liquids and dust and can also be worn for extended periods of time without irritating the skin or damage the clothes during activities. The bracelet includes a display PMOLED 1.8″ and is available in three sizes to ensure a good fit to most types of users.

HTC Grip

The battery chosen by HTC to power Grip is 100 mAh, and should provide up to 5 hours with active GPS tracking and synchronized in real time with the service UA Record. During normal use, HTC Grip should withstand up to two and a half days on a single charge.

In addition to the fitness function, HTC Grip has a range of smart features, which we have already seen on countless products of the category, such as the reproduction of incoming notifications on Android or iOS combined. The fitness band Taiwanese will be available from spring 2015, initially only in North America.
