Intel introduces SSL 545s with 64-layer 3D TCL NANAD.
Intel has introduced the new 545s SSDs, which make use of the new 64-layer 3D TLC NAND technology. Greater performance, greater reliability, and greater durability than previous models, with an affordable price.
In a market that is already full of deals from numerous companies, Intel has launched the new SSD 545s for the consumer market and featured Intel 3D TLC NAND technology. At launch, it will only be available in a version of 512 GB capacity, but additional models with 128 GB and 2 TB storage space will be available.
The Intel SSD 545s utilizes 64-layer TLC NAND technology, enabling it to reach 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write, respectively, with 75,000 and 90,000 IOPS respectively. Intel estimates in 72 TB the durability of the 128 GB model and 288 TB the lifetime for the 512 GB model. Consumption when the disc is active is estimated at 4.5 W. The Intel SSD 545s utilize the classic 2.5-inch format and use the SATA III standard for connection.

This is the first SSD marketed by Intel on the consumer market to leverage 64-layer 3D TCL NAND technology. The use of this technology implies greater memory density and the ability to get smaller memory cells.
The 512 GB model is currently available on the US market. The warranty that Intel offers is 5 years, a sign of great confidence in the product.
