iPhone SE 2: New details on price and specifications of the economic model

iPhone SE 2 could have a very attractive list price with the aim of involving an increasingly large catchment area.

During the evening of last Sunday the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo returned to talk – once again – about the new iPhone SE 2 that we will see in the first half of 2020. The new economic models will, the analyst repeat, be very similar to the iPhone 8 as far as the exterior is concerned, just as iPhone SE definitely resembled iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. This was already known, but new details also emerged over the weekend.

iPhone SE 2 will come in two distinct versions of 64 and 128 GB of storage, with three color options: Silver, Space Gray and Red. The price will instead be from $399.

As we have already said before, the new model will be completely revolutionized, compared to iPhone 8, as far as internal components are concerned. It will adopt the Apple A13 chip, the same one we saw on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, and will have 3GB of RAM.

Just as happened with the newer models, the 3D Touch matrix will not be present in the display, which will represent a step backwards compared to the iPhone 8. After all, it seems that Apple has abandoned the technology, so it would not make sense to include it on the new model.

Kuo also claims that Apple has commissioned supplies from 2 to 4 million iPhone SE 2 per month, with the company wanting to sell at least 30 million units of the inexpensive iPhone by all 2020.

The new model will be targeted at current iPhone users 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that cannot upgrade their models to iOS 13, offering themselves as an old, cheap solution and, at the same time, with the promise of maintaining software support for many more years.
