The barebone Shuttle XPC Barebone SH170R6 supports Intel Core sixth-generation (Skylake architecture), with the company recommend using CPU with a TDP of up to 95W, including Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 6000 series with socket LGA1151. The system integrates four slots for memory modules DDR4, with a maximum of 64 GB of RAM installed via the 4 modules of 16 GB.
Externally it is very good availability of ports: there are eight USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, including the one that supports charging of mobile devices. On the audio front we find the ability to connect via an analog 8-channel system, and are an eSATA port and an Intel Gigabit Ethernet. For connecting the monitor are two DisplayPort and one HDMI, supporting up to three monitors to 4K at 60 Hz and DP to 30 Hz to HDMI.
