The headphones of the Plantronics Savi 8200 series by Poly are dedicated to those who do not want to compromise regarding the flexibility and quality of voice communications. These are wireless models in DECT standard available in both mono and stereo versions, all equipped with active noise cancellation and the ability to connect to multiple devices simultaneously.

The 180 meters are intended as the crow flies, the actual figure will be lower and will depend on the conformation of the office. Our tests showed an extremely wide range of activities and to hear the signal that warned us that we had strayed too far from the base we had to leave the building.
Active noise cancellation and more
The microphone built into the headset is particularly effective in active background noise removal (ANC). We wanted to put him in difficulty, making calls inside even in large rooms, with many people and high background noise.
As much as we are committed to ” disturbing ” the conversation, communication has always been perfectly understandable. Audio reproduction has proven to be of excellent quality, both for conversations and for listening to background music.
The ANC is not the only technical feature worth mentioning. Poly also has integrated SoundGuard DIGITAL in the 8200 series, which protects against sounds above 118 dB and eliminates any sudden level peaks. A function that can be useful in very noisy environments, such as factories and warehouses. It must be specified that to use this function, it is necessary to activate the Plantronic Hubs software.
We also appreciated the ergonomics: the built-in controls on the headset allow you to answer calls, manage the volume and, when necessary, mute the microphone.
Conversation security is guaranteed by the DECT Security certification, which implements 64-bit encryption. The 8200 series is available both in models with mono audio (8210) and with stereophonic audio (8220), with the first ones suitable for environments where it is necessary to listen to calls and, at the same time, the sounds coming from the surrounding environment.
