Polar Grit X is the new sport watch for mountain lovers
Polar expands its product family by presenting Grit X, a model that starts from the characteristics of the Vantage family by implementing specific solutions for mountain running enthusiasts.
Polar has announced Grit X; it is a new high-end sports watch intended specifically for the public of athletes who enjoy outdoor activities and preferably in the mountains. Polar Grit X starts as a base from the Polar Vantage range, sport watches dedicated to sports lovers of triathlon, integrating changes in terms of robustness and functionality that interest mountain sports enthusiasts.
The technical characteristics at the base of Grit X are the same as those of the Vantage M and Vantage V models; these are the main differences that we find in the new model:
- Hill Splitter: it allows us to automatically count the up and down segments that are covered during the workout, bringing them back during the workout and at its end.
- FuelWise: this feature provides indications related to the need to feed during the activity, particularly useful during training or long-lasting competitions.
- Tracking mode with GPS for autonomy up to 100 hours: useful for very long-lasting races; it reduces the number of GPS detections of the route taken, also implementing a special screensaver mode.
- Possibility of obtaining indications on the route to follow, with information on the turning points, through the combination with the Komoot service.
Other substantial changes concern the external structure: Polar has opted for the use of traditional 22mm straps, which can be easily replaced according to individual preferences. The side buttons also change, which are now completely metallic.
The heartbeat sensor, positioned in direct contact with the wrist, was finally modified by inserting new types of colored LED for superior detection accuracy.
