With Razer Turret for Xbox One in-game lighting and exclusive features for the console and the living room.

Razer announces a new console game mode with Razer Turret for Xbox One, a combination of mouse and keyboard (in the US layout only) designed for Xbox One. The announcement marks the agreement between Razer, and Microsoft aimed at bringing the typical PC peripherals into the Xbox One environment.

” We are extremely proud of the work we have done with Microsoft for this unique partnership, ” says Min-Liang Tan, CEO and co-founder of Razer. ” With Razer Turret for Xbox One, you can now fully enjoy the keyboard and mouse experience with in-game lighting and integration on Xbox One. ”

Razer Turret for Xbox One is based on a single dongle wireless mouse and keyboard that operates through a stable connection on a 2.4 GHz band. The system is designed to allow players to remain seated on the sofa or at a distance from the workstation gaming with Xbox One.

Razer Turret for Xbox OneRazer then puts its Razer Chroma technology into Xbox Dynamic Lighting for console players. Razer reports that he has worked with Xbox One game developers to allow them to interact with backlighting. In particular, X-Morph-Defense and Vermintide 2 will offer ” immersive experiences ” through Chroma.

The keyboard offers guaranteed mechanical switches for 80 million pressures, with a dedicated Xbox key that recalls the dashboard. It also uses 10-key roll-over anti-ghosting technology and is able to store button macros, which only work with PC games. Macros are recorded both by software and on the fly using combinations of physical buttons. The weight is 1860 g, and the dimensions are: 194 mm (Length) X 390 mm in (Width) X 36.93 mm (Height).

Razer Turret for Xbox OneThe mouse is built on the basis of the popular Razer Mamba Wireless with a 16,000 DPI advanced 5G sensor and mechanical switches. It uses acceleration of 450 inches per second (IPS) with seven programmable Hyperesponse buttons. The mouse can be stored inside the keyboard or stored here for charging. An ergonomic built-in wrist rest can be placed at the base of the Razer Turret keyboard for Xbox One for added comfort.

These are devices that can potentially revolutionize the console interfacing system, although initially, they will be introduced at rather high prices ($ 249.99 for North America).

Razer then has the opportunity to transpose its quality and its exclusive features in the console, offering an immersive experience that until today does not exist on Xbox One. Note that the keyboard in the first phase will only be marketed with US layouts.
