Samsung monitor: Here are the 2019 models for gaming and the office
Samsung presented three new monitor models dedicated to two areas of use: the office and the gaming one. Design is their strong point, seeking advanced and unique solutions based on the context.
The Korean company has presented in these hours the new Samsung monitors dedicated both to the office and to the home but also to the gamer sphere. In particular, there are three new models that aim at the high end of the market but with characteristics that can be used in different areas and dedicated to different types of users.
Samsung Space Monitor
The first Samsung monitor does not have an acronym by name but is called Space Monitor. This new model aims to ” rethink the space ” on your desk, optimizing the support of the work surface.
Samsung Space Monitor has a clamp that allows you to fix the display to the edge of the desk reducing the footprint to a minimum (called Zero Height Adjustable Stand). The support does not allow lateral rotation but only in height and depth but the viewing angle is the widest available equal to 178°.
This model does not support touch functionality considered by the market, according to the company, with little demand. Instead, Samsung Space Monitor aims to optimize spaces with reduced frames and a more than the orderly wiring system, thus allowing for clear desks.
Samsung Space Monitor is available with two 27″ diagonals and with QHD or 32″ resolution with 4K UHD resolution. Thanks to the Samsung apps, it is also possible to use the monitor as if they were two separate screens, thus improving multitasking.

Samsung CRG9
The second Samsung monitor presented is the evolution of a previous model. We are talking about the Samsung CRG9, which is dedicated both to content editors (music, video, etc.) and to gamers. As is evident, one of the features is the 32:9 format which allows very wide view thanks to the 1800 mm curvature.
The new Samsung CRG9 has accepted the requests of users and this time we find a QHD resolution for the vertical axis compared to 1,200 pixels of the previous version as well as a metal structure. This allows to have a better display quality but also a greater flexibility as regards the distribution of the contents on the area.
Samsung CRG9, being dedicated to gamers, has a refresh rate of 120 Hz with a response time of 4 ms ensuring excellent performance. The diagonal is from 49″ thus managing to cover a very wide viewing angle. There is also supported for AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR technology thus improving performance during the games.
As written above, not only is the resolution high (Dual QHD equal to 5,120 × 1,440 pixels) but there is also supported for HDR10, Local dimming and Quantum Dot technologies. This Samsung monitor then has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. With generous dimensions, features like PBP (Picture-by-Picture) are available to display two sources simultaneously. Full connectivity includes HDMI, two Display Ports, USB 3.0 and headphone support.
Samsung UR59C
The third Samsung monitor is the Samsung UR59C model: the company’s intentions are a solution that can be used in an office but has an elegant and sober design. The new Samsung UR59C is available with a diagonal of 32″ with 4K UHD resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) and curved panel.
This model has a contrast ratio of 2,500:1 and supports up to a billion colors. As written above, the panel is curved (1500R) to improve the visual experience.
The design has played an important role so much that we find a support with particular shapes (made of metal, and that allows to hide the cables) while the rear area has a texture that recalls the fabric so as to be aesthetically appealing from any angle. The new Samsung UR59C has then reduced and only 6.7 mm thick frames (on three sides).
