This can also be done by a USB stick, and the maximum resolution allowed will be 1,920×1,080 pixels for PS4, which will rise to 3,840×2,160 pixels for the version of PS4 Pro.
Another important news that users will get with the update to version 5.50 is that of the management of game times. What does it mean? In practice, the parents will have an extra weapon for how long their children play or can play with the PS4. Here it will be possible to set a specific playing time based on the day of the week but also in a purely manual way, thus allowing only certain hours for the game sessions.
But that’s not all because with the new firmware 5.50 Sony will also allow you to schedule events directly from the pages of the trophies but also delete any past notifications and identify the contents compatible with the PlayStation VR viewer thanks to the positioning of a specific icon. In the quick menu, there is now also a list that allows you to show users online.
Finally, with the new 5.50 version of the PlayStation 4 and 4 Pro you can use the new ” Supersampling ” mode that is to maximize the power of the console even without being in possession of a 4K TV. Yes, because in this case thanks to the changes of the developers of Sony will be possible to run the games with a higher resolution up to 2160p allowing even with the downscaling in HD to have better images during the game.
