Surface Earbuds, here are the true wireless earphones from Microsoft with Office 365 integration
The new Surface Earbuds are high-end true wireless headsets, with Office 365 integration and support for Cortana and other virtual assistants. That’s why choosing them, according to Microsoft.
The Surface Earbuds do not represent the first foray into the audio world by Microsoft, but they are the first product of the Redmond company as regards the true wireless earphone market. The new products are characterized by a decidedly particular design, apparently designed to be comfortable without various risks of falls.
They have a touch interface and voice controls for multimedia management, and they synchronize with Office 365 giving the possibility to manage Calendar and other features without taking the smartphone (Android) combined. During the official presentation, held on October 2nd during the event in New York, Microsoft paid attention to four aspects.

- Design – the new Microsoft Surface Buds have been designed to be comfortable to wear and at the same time simple to control. It is a bit strange to see, we admit Microsoft promises great comfort while being worn thanks to the four anchor points. The extended surface also allows you to perform gestures to control the music: swipe up or down for the volume, forward or back to change tracks, double tap to pause or start calls. - Audio quality – Microsoft promises high audio quality thanks to the Surface Omnisonic profile and custom, precisely calibrated drivers. Two advanced microphones, integrated on each earphone, allow to block the environmental audio on call in order to amplify the voice recorded by the microphone.
- Synchronization with Office 365 – thanks to the integration of the Microsoft service it is possible to manage the Outlook calendar, listen to and reply to emails and also manage reminders. Surface earphones can also be used with a virtual assistant of your choice (also Cortana) and, theoretically, allow you to perform all these functions without having to take your smartphone in your hand.
- Battery life – the autonomy promised by Microsoft is 24 hours, 8 hours with every single charge, while the art can be made through the supplied charging case for transportation.

The new headsets will be available in the US starting from the 2019 Christmas season at a price of $249.
