TeamViewer 13 now available for everyone in the final version: Here’s what’s new

TeamViewer reaches version 13, which becomes faster and ” uniform “, with tools that simplify procedures and make remote support more efficient.

TeamViewer is one of the most famous remote desktop platforms and since last Tuesday the latest version is available, Teamviewer 13. The company announced the release by means of a press note outlining the news of the new release, including the Instant Connect pane at the top right of the client UI that allows users to establish a dial-up connection in no time, regardless of location on the Teamviewer client.

Among the news, we also find a list of recent connections that helps you quickly retrieve the last connections made, especially useful when a support session is suspended and must be completed later. TeamViewer 13 now supports the new Essential Asset Management, which can be accessed through the web management console: users can solve some problems even without connecting to a specific device, always having sensitive information on all the devices associated with the account.

The dashboard offers information that resides deep within the system, such as the installed BIOS version, disk status, battery level, or the latest installed update. It is also equipped with direct access to the event log, to facilitate remote support.

The new version implements improved hardware scalability, resulting in better performance by reducing the computational load required for remote operations. The functionality allows you to use together CPU and GPU to reduce the load on the first and offer better reaction times.

There are also different functions for identity and access management even within the company workgroups, and also the possibility of carrying out a forced registration (without the recipient being able to object) of the session for those organizations that need document activities.

TeamViewer 13 also gains a new client that will soon be available with support for the native Linux host, and significantly extends support for mobile devices with a consistent user experience across the various supported platforms.

The new version also includes compatibility with the screen sharing features integrated on iOS 11. For more information, please visit the official website.
