The Chinese .cn domain is now the world’s most popular

The Chinese government is becoming increasingly important and open to foreign intrusion. The .cn domain is now the world’s most popular among domestic ones, and thanks also to contamination of the multinationals.

China overtakes Germany in the ranking of the most popular domain in the world. According to reported data released Friday by the China Internet Network Information Centre (CNNIC) domain .cn is now the most commonly used of those national having reached 16.36 million in 2015 recording. The .cn domain is widely used by Chinese’s state organs, but also several multinational companies have begun offering portals with the same suffix.

The head of CNNIC, Li Xiaodong, has specified that the .cn domain is in first place thanks to the use of services of general machinery. Foreign companies such as Apple, Microsoft or Amazon use it within local versions of its sites, and the number is also fueled by banks, telecommunications companies, universities and media information company.

The .cn domain is the most common among those with national 16,360,000 of annual registrations.

The domain is managed right from the CNNIC, a company that provides DNS services to 360°. Xiaodong also said that in addition to the extremely positive number of recordings, the .cn domain is shown in the range of excellence also with regard to the services of analysis and operational safety. The center also states that 670 million Chinese online, and China has a number of about 4.13 million websites.
