The Smartphone of 2015 is significantly faster iPhone 6S

Antutu published the Top 10 best-performing smartphone of 2015, with the first in the standings that actually it was not easy to predict.

AnTuTu not miss the appointment in which publishes a quarterly ranking of smartphones best performing among those available in its database. It is a ranking that over the years has been limited to evaluating only Android devices, at least up to this time. AnTuTu is several months also available on the iPhone, which in its first appearance on the test record is the first absolute position with plenty of room on the second.

It must specify, that the surveys were carried out with the latest version of the benchmarking tool, AnTuTu 6.0, which actually shifts the attention – perhaps too much – on the side of the GPU. In other words, the benchmark gives much more weight to the component linked to the graphic than before, giving a big advantage to the iPhone by the SoC which are specially calibrated to offer the best performance with regard to the video rendering.

To enter the ranks every smartphone should have at least 500 entries in the database, from which an average is calculated with the outcome. In this way, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus (combined into one) reach a score of 132,620 points, surpassing drastically the runner, Huawei Mate 8, owner HISILICON processor 950 with core Cortex and Mali-T880 GPU MP4. It closes the podium Meizu Pro 5 with Exynos 7420 and GPU Mali-T760 MP8.

We find the first Samsung device just off the podium, with Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ in fourth and fifth place, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus last generation. Rounding out the rankings OnePlus 2, LeTV 1PRO, Xiaomi Notes Pro and Nexus 6P, all with Snapdragon 810.
