Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi 2: Microsoft releases the kit for easy installation

Microsoft and Adafruit have released the Microsoft IoT Pack for Raspberry Pi 2, a kit that allows you to install Windows 10 on a small computer with a simplified procedure.

It is certainly not a novelty that Windows 10 can be installed on small Raspberry Pi 2 version IoT, however,  the procedures for the installation may not be for everyone. To simplify thinks Microsoft itself that, in collaboration with Adafruit, has released a special kit that has everything you need including sensors, cables and also an SD card  with the operating system Windows 10 IoT Core and software indispensable.

Windows IoT Core Starter Kit comes in two different versions, one with Raspberry Pi 2 and the other without. The price is in our view prohibitive, but justifiable in some cases: $115 with the small embedded system, $ 75 if you already have Raspberry Pi 2. It is a cost that far exceeds that of ‘whole system, and this just to install Windows 10 IoT.

The entire platform will naturally turn to the maker, which with the support of an operating system like Windows 10 can create complex devices using the software compatibility of the operating system from Redmond. What is certain is that, despite the kit wants to simplify procedures, operations for installation are not practicable by all, and it still requires some skill with a soldering iron.
