Yamaha starts sale e-Bike

The Japanese manufacturer based in Iwata, better known for its motorcycles, actually has a 25-year experience in the assisted pedaling sector, having already presented an embryonic e-bike prototype back in 1993: this technology was carried out up to the present day but with a greater interest for the Asian market only.

In an area where Bosch is the master, Yamaha thinks of trying to break the delays, leaving the Asian market, and landing in the United States with a very varied e-bike proposal and designed for everyone.

Except this last version, all the other models share the same platform based on the Yamaha PWSeries SE engine, equipped with four levels of pedal assistance, ECO+, ECO, STANDARD and HIGH with performances able to provide a maximum of 70 Nm of torque and support up to a pedaling rate of 110 RPM, with management speed up to 32 km/h where the law allows it.

The YDX-TORC model, on the other hand, is a slightly more refined solution, equipped with a more powerful engine named Yamaha PW-X, with an extra power of up to 80 Nm of torque and support up to a pedaling rate of 120 RPM, in addition with a fifth mode of assistance to ride called EXPW designed for maximum performance possible.

Yamaha E-BikeAll the models described above share the same lithium-ion battery pack characterized by a voltage of 36V and a capacity of 500 Wh, fully rechargeable in just 4 hours, and more or less the same accessories, that is, an LCD screen multifunction and LED indicators of the battery to check at a glance the remaining charge.
