Review: Bose QuietComfort 35 Bluetooth Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

In test Bose QuietComfort 35, the top of the noise suppression wireless headphone now.

Given that after thirty years of evolution of the sound output of the headphones is a quality certainly not obvious but it is decided by car manufacturers on the basis of trade, economic and trade, certainly not the ability or inability, the new roads for the market of portable ride two sides decided sound: wireless connectivity and noise suppression.

The model we tested, the Bose QuietComfort 35 run through both of these streets, aiming to be, so not a little hazy, the industry benchmark, both because of the appeal of the brand name that by the number of patents in possession of Bose Noise Canceling in the sector.

In this sense, just remember how Bose has always been present alongside the aeronautical and aerospace market for years astronauts have used Bose headphones with NC during launch and landing of the Space Shuttle to reduce the risk of damage to the ears.

Bose QuietComfort 35, the invisible thread.

Since the opening of the box, the technical and constructional differences of the wireless model emerge clear: as there is no longer the cable, the whole part of the playback controls have been moved just behind the right ear, in addition to the switch placed in a central position on the same and MicroUSB connector for charging. It is the mini jack connector for analog listening, possible when the batteries are depleted (with cable included).

The battery is a very important element in a pattern like this, and unlike previous versions, here is power management follows the normal sound of the electronic noise suppression: everything is powered by lithium batteries, including offering, nominally, 20 hours of battery life in wireless and 40 when used with the included mini jack audio cable.

Because here at Macitynet cables we do not like we just used the Bose QuietComfort 35 only wireless, and we must admit that the duration is likely, because with a very varied use with multiple devices, the duration was close to half a week.

The Bluetooth connection is normally, but soon after the smartphone has prompted us to download the free Bose Connect App for iPhone and Android, which will be discussed later. The connection with other sources, such as the Mac, takes place in the same way without the use of any App: while listening Bluetooth’s connection seemed almost always stable and secure, without changes due intersection with other frequencies: please note that your district is using a smartwatch Android journalist, an activity tracker and another pair of Bluetooth’s accessories for various uses, more or less always connected.

Bose Connect, two is better than one

After running the pairing (if you have an Android smartphone compatible, you can do it using the NFC chip) and downloaded the App, you can start using the headset, once worn and switched, voice feedback comes in headphones with a voice which lists some of the most important operations, such as the battery level or the name of the associated device.

The impression is that Bose has used a speech to the voice, which gives good results in English, not in the Italian language: the app allows the headphone management in some parameters, such as language change, control volume, the sleep timer but especially the device with which to associate the headphones, if there is more than one.

The App fact allows a very smart use of the pairing: headphones in practice are able to select a different device in this case it becomes active.

For example: matching headphones to your Mac, as soon as the iPhone is ringing for a call by themselves headphones are connected to the latter allowing you to answer, and return to the Mac when the call is over.

But even if the App has within it a small music player (which replaces arbitrarily landscape photos to album covers) this is not necessary to use headphones so not normal, given that listening to you do so much to Music and from other App.

A good silence was never written.

In addition to smart features and Wi-present, it is inevitable that a large part of this review also speaks of audio quality. The analysis of the part relating to the noise reduction system it seemed impeccable: the majority of the low frequencies almost disappears once lit, even without music. Part of the process is due to the already good sound proofing in the halls, leaning very well to the ears and close to the outside noise.

The rest is the electronics thinks: metro, tram, bus or the typical engine frequencies disappear for about 90%, while remaining (albeit muffled) higher frequencies such as voices, music (not to say the whole truth, metro a walking torturing others with a symphony whose quality had been lost for years has had hard life against our noise reduction system, which has all but killed the damn chant) and some normal to ever average frequency noise or as high as objects or mechanisms.

The synergy between the internal and external microphone seems really perfect, with a very accurate filtering, so that the two systems (noise reduction, and music) you are never mixed leaving the latter unchanged in all frequencies. Very good also the telephone side, with a microphone capable of performing good phone even in crowded areas such as acoustically meter.

The musical part, although not the focus for this product was in line with expectations: the sound was clear and sharp, not polluted by dominant whatsoever.

The volume is more than enough and the use of balanced, never too low. Bose has chosen a typical street shot in which there are no accompaniments or special stamps to the music, which is as good as they are the source files.

Conclusions

The test of this product is undoubtedly positive: despite not having tried all models with CN on the market we would like to suggest the Bose QuietComfort 35 model as a comparison parameter for the entire competition, quality and services. The sound is good, the noise reduction system offers outstanding results in every situation.

The design is simple and very comfortable, the absence of cables a plus for those who write now inevitable and the possibility to automatically jump between multiple audio sources is a factor that you get used to all too soon.

The price, price list $359, it seems in line with the quality of proposals, given that there are no headsets wirelessly and NC also at higher costs.
