Apple iPhone SE is back on the market, but only in the US

Apple has resumed (until the end of stocks) the sale of iPhone SE in the US. This is an important signal that shows how the Cupertino company would be suffering in this particular moment of sales under estimates.

Apple iPhone SE was the latest smartphone of Cupertino to use a display of compact size (4 “) after which the company decided to focus on products more commercially ” expendable ” for users. About four months ago was decreed the putting out of production of iPhone SE together with other models.

In the US for a few days, Apple iPhone SE is back in the Apple Store (previously, it was only available in some authorized dealers). In reality, as there are limited stocks and great demand, this model has been sold out in a few hours. But this is an interesting signal from Cupertino that has to face sales below expectations.

It is not the first time that Apple has decided to try to attract consumers with older products. Just recently, iPhone X is back in Japan, a  production model released prior to the arrival of the new 2018 series.

iPhone SE New SmartphonesReturning to Apple iPhone SE, the price was raised to $249 for the 32 GB version and $299 for the 128 GB version with $100 and $150 respectively on the latest list price. One of the motivations of this strategy could be to empty the warehouses from ” old ” models, still taking part of the money.

It is not clear if this operation will be  repeated in the future and perhaps in other countries. Surely the discounts applied to the latest models (for example: example in China) is a strong sign that something has changed in the strategy of the Cupertino colossus. Sales of smartphones, in general, have slowed down and this has hit Apple but also other producers who now have to contend with branded brands.
