Dell Latitude 9510: Laptop or 2-in-1 with optional 5G and autonomy up to 30 hours

With the goal of 30 hours of autonomy, the new Dell Latitude 9510 is configured as laptops for the uncompromising professional. Two models: one in laptop format, the other in 2-in-1 format.

With the new Dell Latitude 9510 announced at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, the American company has an extremely ambitious goal: up to 30 hours of operating autonomy for a laptop pro. The new family is characterized by two models with a different form factor: obviously, the traditional laptop is not missing, and there is a more advanced version in the 2-in-1 format. Both models use a display with extremely small bezels, a design that allows you to have a 14-inch panel in a system the size of an old 15-inch laptop.

A peculiar characteristic of the new Latitude 9510 is the presence of the Dell Optimizer suite with Artificial Intelligence: a dedicated algorithm ” learns ” the user’s habits to speed up all activities.

A practical example is the opening of the apps: the ones you use most frequently will be stored to guarantee reduced access times and greater productivity. The recommended accessory with the use of the new Latitude 9510 2-in-1 is the pen, which will be included in the original equipment.

The new Dell Latitude 9510 will be sold with the Windows 10 operating system (up to the 64-bit Pro) and also with Ubuntu (starting from May 2020). They use Intel Core processors up to the vPro series and a maximum of 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM with an integrated Intel UHD GPU.

Both versions of the notebook have a 15″ panel in Full HD resolution: the 2-in-1 uses a WVA touch panel with Gorilla Glass 6 DX glass and Active Pen support, while both will offer a maximum luminance of 400 nits. With 100% coverage of the sRGB profile.

Dell Latitude 9510, designed for 5G (and beyond)

On the storage side, the Dell Latitude 9510 will be sold in configurations up to 1TB on NVMe PCIe SSDs in the M.2 format. The systems will be able to use 4 or 6 cell batteries, from 52Whr up to a maximum of 88Whr.

An important feature is the presence of a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) network adapter with support for Bluetooth 5.0 and, optionally, a modem for connection to cellular networks: among the present versions, we will have one with a 4G modem (Snapdragon X20 LTE-A ) and another more advanced – which will arrive in July 2020 – with Snapdragon X55 modem. This means support for the latest generation of 5G networks.

Dimensions and weight are extremely reduced, about the integrated display: 340 x 215 x 14mm with a weight of 1.5Kg for the 2-in-1, 1.45Kg for the notebook. As for the ports present, we will have: a USB Type-A, two Thunderbolt 3, an HDMI 2.0, a microSD slot, and optionally, SmartCard connector and tray for microSIM plus eSIM integrated not to need to replace the SIM present to change operator.
