GIGABYTE, SSD Aorus RGB AIC NVMe: performance and design on PCI-Express standard

It will be available in two sizes, 512 GB and 1 TB, and based on Toshiba BiCS3 TLC NAND memories managed by a Phison PS5012-E12 NVMe 1.3 controller: the larger 1 TB version offers read speeds up to 3,480 MB/s and write up at 3,080 MB/s.

GIGABYTE presents a new series of SSDs called Aorus RGB AIC NVMe SSD, characterized by the AIC single-slot construction format, PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface and some style notes.

It will be available in two sizes, 512 GB and 1 TB, and based on Toshiba BiCS3 TLC NAND memories managed by a Phison PS5012-E12 NVMe 1.3 controller: the larger 1 TB version offers read speeds up to 3,480 MB/s and write up at 3,080 MB/s, as well as up to 610,000 4K IOPS for reading and up to 530,000 4K IOPS for writing; the 512 GB model, instead proposes up to 3,480 MB/s and up to 2,100 MB/s respectively, as well as up to 360,000 IOPS 4K and up to 510,000 IOPS.

In addition to the performance, GIGABYTE has decided to offer more, the single slot structure is equipped with a passive cooling system, consisting of a thermal pad that comes into contact on one side with the controller, NAND flash chips and DRAM chips, and on the other side to the aluminum structure that acts as a heat sink, especially in the upper part of the device.

Finally, we also find integrated RGB LED lighting that runs along the upper edge, which can be completely customized using the GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software.

GIGABYTE has not provided information on availability and price, instead note the guarantee that it will be 5 years, for values lower than 800 TBW for the 512 GB model and 1600 TBW for the 1 TB model; for more details and information, please visit the page dedicated to this product.
