Powerbeats Pro: the new Beats earphones
Powerbeats Pro are the new Beats earphones that have been introduced in these hours. This is the first solution without connection cables, but that takes advantage of Apple’s technology and knowledge in the field.
Beats, a company owned by Apple since 2014, has announced the first earphones, Powerbeats Pro, which have no connection cables. This is an interesting novelty as it is the first real competitors for AirPods from a company owned by Apple.
The new Beats Powerbeats Pro headsets take advantage of the idea, already seen, of a recharge through the casket where they can be stored and which in turn is recharged via Lightning connector.
Powerbeats Pro obviously take advantage of much of the technology that comes from Apple with the H1 chip that also allows for wireless connectivity and Siri always ready to answer user questions for better interaction.
The new earphones are available in four colors (black, ivory, blue and moss) and unlike the AirPods, they have a structure designed for athletes with a support for the upper pavilion that allows them to be kept in position.
Given the use designed for athletes and for those who do fitness, Powerbeats Pro could only be resistant to water and sweat. As reported by the company, these earphones have 9 hours of autonomy and up to 24 hours with combined use and also taking advantage of the recharge in the case.
There is no power button, but the earphones turn on when they are removed from the case and turn off when they detect that they are not worn. The control for the reproduction of the track and for the volume instead is still entrusted to physical keys, easier to use in the fitness / sports field.
Powerbeats Pro connect seamlessly to iOS devices like iPhone and there will be no need to connect to new devices each time if they are synced to iCloud (Android is still supported).
Beats states that these earphones have a new, more efficient driver that also improves playback quality by reducing distortions and improving the dynamic range over the entire frequency curve.
The Powerbeats Pro have also been designed for calls and not just for music. There is an accelerometer with speech detection in each earpiece and two dedicated microphones one for voice recognition and the other for ambient noise.
The official price in the US is $249.95 and will arrive in May 2019 through Apple’s sales channels. There will be 20 markets where initially you will be able to buy new headsets, in the autumn others will be added.
