How to Backup Font on Windows

A font is a graphical representation of a text which may include a different character, for the size, weight or design.

Users running Microsoft Windows can find all the fonts installed on your computer by navigating to the folder C: Windows Fonts or C: Winnt directory Fonts . So here’s how to backup your fonts.

1.) So to back up Windows font is important for a few reasons, the first is whether the Computern is on standby, or if its files are corrupted, and the purchase of custom fonts can be expensive so it is always better to use those already installed. If you decide to download new characters once download new types of character, they are stored in one place and can be easily lost.

If it should prove necessary to restore or rebuild the damage to the computer and you should lose custom fonts, Windows will then replace the custom fonts. The creation of fonts backup is pretty simple, you have a few ways to do this, the first is to copy the entire directory only characters, this is the easiest way.

The Fonts folder is about 60 MB. Most of these are fonts that ship with Windows, so if you have limited space you may want to back up only the custom ones. All characters must be stored in C: Windows Fonts, you can access the Fonts folder / directory using Windows Explorer, My Computer, or just type Font to Start / Run menu. You should then see the font directory.

2.) From here you can copy the fonts that you want to back up, copying, and you can select the type of character with the right mouse button and drag it to where you want to back up, now when you release the mouse button you will be asked if you want to move or copy Font.

If you were to move your character will not be available on the system, making sure to use the right mouse button as opposed to the left otherwise you will automatically move the font, and you will have the same problem as above.

3.) If you want to copy the entire folder fonts, this can be done in C: Windows Fonts, from here you can back up the folder like any directory.
