How to delete passwords saved on Mozilla Firefox

Browsing the web using a personal computer requires you to download and install a specific browser. Most users use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. Someone instead prefers to use Safari or Mozilla Firefox ideal for effectively surfing the Internet.

Regardless of the browser used, it is always necessary to remove cookies periodically. This will make it fully functional and fast for uploading websites. Some users have the habit of saving any of their access keys, in order not to have to specify it at each entry in the personal account.

This habit may prove to be incorrect, as passwords become more vulnerable. Hackers have the ability to more easily steal sensitive data and information related to any payment cards saved online. But what do you do if you want to delete the access keys you save?

Start the browser and search for stored passwords

To delete the passwords saved on Mozilla Firefox, we must first open our browser. From here we will have free access to a particular menu, from which we will be able to change some settings related to navigation safety. Storing all access passwords is a bad choice.

In this way, Firefox becomes vulnerable and openly exposed to possible attacks by hackers. To avoid this, we will have to prevent the browser from storing our passwords. Once you start Mozilla Firefox by double-clicking with the left mouse button, we will display a specific screen. We look carefully at the toolbar at the top.

Next to the bar dedicated to typing the URL, we will find a small button. We recognize it because it represents three horizontal bars and contains a series of options related to the browser setting. By clicking on it, we will display a list. Let’s see how to proceed.

Open the settings menu

When do we click on the small button? Mozilla Firefox, there appear several commands. We are interested in the ” Options ” item, so let’s click on it. At this point, a new screen will be initialized, which contains some particular sections. We are looking for the ” Privacy and Security ” tab, which is on the left side.

From here we will have to take the ” Saved Accesses ” item. As soon as we click on it, Firefox will show us all the stored accounts. These are email addresses or usernames with which we access many sites of our interest. Before deleting the passwords saved on Mozilla Firefox, let’s see them.

To do this, click on the ” Show password ” option. Finally, we confirm with a click on ” Yes “. We write down the passwords on a sheet which we will then keep in a safe place, away from prying eyes. When we have copied all of them, we will be able to proceed with the cancellation from the browser.

Delete saved accesses

To delete passwords saved on Mozilla Firefox from any operating system, we must remain on the ” Privacy and security ” tab. When we look at saved accesses, we can delete them in two ways. To select only some passwords, we click on each of them. The cancellation will be made possible by a click on the ” Remove ” button. By folding it, we will delete the accesses one by one.

If instead we want to make a clean sweep and then delete all the passwords, we choose directly the ” Remove all ” button. We will open a small window that will ask us if we confirm our choice. Click on ” Yes ” and we will have eliminated all traces of the keywords used to access the various sites.

When we are asked to save the login credentials, we always answer No. It will be better to have the leaflet with the username and password associated with it at hand, rather than exposing our computer to continuous pitfalls.

Note : When you log into a site, Firefox requires you to save credentials. To avoid this, choose the ” Never for this site ” option. Perform a browser check through the antivirus to make sure that there are no anomalies or any presence of viruses and spyware.
