Microsoft launched the new Surface Pro 7, among the many announcements that took place on stage. The 2-in-1 from Microsoft with a detachable keyboard cover maintains the form factor and is proposed as last year in two versions: black and silver. There are some news worthy of being reported.
First of all, the presence of a USB Type-C port, a connectivity solution widely requested by users of the Redmond laptop that replaces the previous Mini DisplayPort. The most important innovations come from the inside: we have three Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 CPU of 10th generation, from 4 to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, SSD solutions from 128 up to 1TB for storage and a 10 hours of battery and a half of operational autonomy, according to at least the data disclosed by the company.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6 and weighs (excluding the additional keyboard) 770 grams. As the last generation model, we have a full-size USB port, a microSD, the Surface Connect connector and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The cameras remain at 8MP and 5MP (both capable of recording in Full HD, but only the rear has an automatic focusing system), and even the display has the same specifications as the last generation: it is a PixelSense 12.3″ from 2,736×1,824 pixels with 3:2 aspect ratio.
Among the innovations, we also have professional-level microphones, according to the company’s words, and new ways to use the Surface Pen with the suite of Office applications for productivity, and Your Phone can manage incoming calls from the matched Android smartphone.
